Apologies

Hello everyone! I’m sorry to say that I have left this blog for quite a while, and I apologize to anyone who is still here to read this. I’ve gotten caught up in many things (new school, moving, games etc.) and for a while I did not make the time to post. However, I’m going to continue my posting every week, usually on a Saturday or Sunday.

Also I would like to include an ask for prayer for my sister. A few days ago we went on a skiing/snowboarding trip, and while she was snowboarding, by sister fell and broke her arm. Fortunately she only needs a sling to keep it in position, but it does make her life much more difficult. If you could, please remember her in your prayers for me, thank you!

Thank you all for your patience, and please look forward to a more regular posting schedule!

An Answer, Please!

God’s word for me today is in Habakkuk 2:1 which says:

“I will stand at my watch
and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint.”

Habakkuk was going to “stand at his watch” and “station himself on the ramparts” looking to see that the Lord would say to Him. Waiting for an answer to his complaint. He is waiting for God to answer Him. That is what we should do, If we pray to God we should wait for an answer. God can answer in many ways, He can say yes and no.

But how can we talk to God? We were sinners and God hates sin. So how could we even talk to God? Well, the reason is because of a sacrifice. Not just any sacrifice, a perfect sacrifice. We needed a perfect sacrifice to die in our place if we were going to live, but we couldn’t have found any perfect sacrifice. That is why God’s son came down from heaven to die in our place! Jesus (who is God’s son and God Himself) came down from His kingdom in heaven, took on the sins of the world, and died for us on a cross! He loved us so much that He died for us!

Now we live because He died and rose again! We are saved because He sacrificed Himself on the cross! But, like I said, He rose again! We have a living hope because Jesus rose again on the 3rd day and then ascended into heaven! We are saved because Jesus died for us! If you have not put your trust in Jesus then why don’t you pray and ask Him into your heart now? Why don’t you ask Him to forgive you of your sins?

Now we can pray to God, we can actually talk to God! All because Jesus died for us on the cross! We can pray to God, and I know He will answer. How do I know that? A few months ago my family and I lived in Ohio, we were praying that we could sell our house and move to Washington (the state) if that was what God wanted for our family. We prayed every day that God would sell our house and enable us to move. And God did even more than that, He gave us numerous christian people meet, whether they were fixing our house or buying our stuff. He also lowered the price on a car that we bought even though we had contacted them the day before. He sold our house at the perfect time, He did everything so amazingly! God does answer our prayers!

Praise the Lord that we are saved from our sins! Praise God that we can talk to Him through prayer because Jesus died for us! Thank You Jesus!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
