Sermon: Mustard Seed

Hello, the sermon today was on Luke 13:18-21. The pastor preached on the Kingdom of God.

We see the Gospel in Luke 13 in that the mustard seed and the yeast represent Jesus. Jesus, like that mustard seed, died and produced “fruit” or us. Jesus permeates through the body of believers like the yeast through the bread. John 12:24 says:

“24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”

Like a seed Jesus died and was put in the grave (or in the ground) before He resurrected. And after He rose from the grave He gave good news to others, and then that Good News that we are saved because of Jesus grew. Just like a mustard seed planted in the ground, the Gospel has grown just like a tree.

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland and,
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland
