Sermon

Hello, the pastor today preached mostly on Matthew 13:33 which says:

“He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.””

The Pastor said that the yeast represented grace in the Kingdom of Heaven. God’s grace expands throughout all believers. The place we see God’s grace shown the most, is at the cross. Grace is giving an undeserving person something  they don’t deserve. God gave us mercy, and life by sending His son Jesus to die in our place, and give us eternal life.

He also mentioned John 3:16:

“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 is basically the obvious Gospel verse; the verse that every Christian knows. But if you look at it and actually understand what it says; you really do get a basic and beautiful view of the Gospel! That God loved us, and sent His son as a sacrifice for us so that if we trust in Him we will live. Praise the Lord!

Peace and love, Joy Cleveland and,
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland
