The Sermon: Anxiety

Today we heard another “do this, do that” sermon. The pastor’s main point (from Philippians 4) was that we should not be anxious because it’s a sin, at least that’s what I think that’s what his main point was. So I’m going to show you the real way to have peace and not anxiety.

The way to have true peace and to get rid of all anxiety is to trust in Jesus and what He did for us. Jesus died for us on the cross so that we could live, and if you trust in Jesus then you will have peace. Of course Christians still get worried, but we should always remember Christ and He will give us peace.

Another thing that one of the men talked about was “goals”; he talked about loving Christ and obeying him. But the one goal that you should have (instead of the 5 that he mentioned which were about obeying and doing things) is to find the Gospel in every passage and to be encouraged by it!

I hope you received an encouraging message today filled with the Gospel!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland
