Great, Now There’s Deadly Horns!

God’s word for me today is in Zechariah 1:21 which says:

21 I asked, “What are these coming to do?”

He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”[a]”

If Judah has been scattered by “horns” then what chance do we have? The Israelites were God’s people and they were scattered, how could we possibly have a chance against these deadly scattering horns?

First of all, the horns were another part of the vision that Zechariah had which means that horns don’t really scatter nations. Now to the big question: how could we possibly “survive” if God’s people had been scattered? We can survive because God has made us not only His people, but His children! He has us secured in His hand so that we cannot fall out, no matter how hard we might try. But that is only if you are a Christian; what’s the difference between being a Christian and not being one? The fact that we trust in the sacrifice that makes us God’s children.

Let me explain: God loved the whole world so much that He sent a sacrifice so that we could live (we were going to die because of our sins) and be His children. God sent His own son, Jesus, to atone for us! Jesus gave us the right to become the children of God!

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (NIV John 1:12)

So you see? We have been given the right to become the children of God by Jesus’ death and Resurrection. We live now because Jesus died for us! If you receive Jesus then you have the right to become a child of God.

Praise the Lord because He gave us the right to become His children! Thank You Jesus!
