The Paralyzed Law

First I want to apologize for my lack of posting the last few days. I have been very busy (with my school), I am trying to post as much as I can with God’s help.

God’s word for me today is in Habakkuk 1:4 which says:

Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted”

Israel was not trusting in God, they were “perverting justice” Habakkuk says that the law was paralyzed because of them. That is just like us, like all human beings. We are all sinners and we all perverted justice. We all “paralyzed the law” because we have all sinned.

We had God’s wrath on us because of our sins, but we are saved! How? Because God’s son (and God Himself) came down from heaven to die for us! Jesus came down from heaven, took our sins and God’s wrath on Him, and died for us on the cross! Jesus loved us so much that He came down from heaven and died for us on a cross, so that we could live! We are saved because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we live because He died for us on a cross!

If you have not trusted in Jesus as your savior then you have not be saved from your sins. Why don’t you trust in Jesus as your savior and live? Why don’t you believe in Him now and be saved from all of your sins and from God’s wrath? Jesus loved  you so much that He died for you, why don’t you love Him and trust in Him? We would have died with our sins and god’s wrath on us, but Jesus came down from heaven and die on a cross, so that we could live and be with Him forever in heaven.

We were going to die with God’s wrath on us and now we live because Jesus died for us on a cross. He took the wrath of God upon Himself so that we could live!

Praise the Lord that we are saved from our sins!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
