Treading on Our Sins

God’s word for me today is in Micah 7:19 which says:

19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”

The Lord would have compassion on the Israelites, He would tread their sins underfoot and throw their iniquities into the depths of the sea! That’s what Micah says. Israel’s sins would be forgiven and the Lord would shepherd them and be their God again. He would love them and they would trust in Him again.

Those were the Israelites. But now we can be spiritual Israelites! Even though we sin and we were trapped in our sins we can be saved. How? Because of the greatest sacrifice ever, because of the sacrifice that God’s son made for us! God’s son (Jesus) came down from heaven, took our sins willingly upon Himself, and died for His worst enemies (us) on the cross! Jesus loved us so much that He died for us to make us true spiritual Israelites! He died for us on a criminals cross so that we could live! He gave us His perfection so that we could live and not have the wrath of God on us!

Then Jesus rose from the grave on the third day, appeared to many people, and ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us! Jesus tread on our sins at the cross, He threw them into His sea of forgetfulness! We are pure and holy because Jesus died for us! We live without punishment on us because Jesus died for us! Praise the Lord that Jesus loved us and died for us on the cross! Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins! We live, we are pure, because of His amazing sacrifice! Praise the Lord, thank You Jesus!

If you have not trusted in Jesus and your savior then why don’t you trust in Him now? Why don’t you believe in Jesus who died for your sins on the cross? He loved us so much that He died for us, why don’t you trust in Him and love Him? If you trust in Jesus then you will become a part of spiritual Israel, all Christians are spiritual Israel and we are saved because of Jesus who died for us on the cross! “Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the heavens rejoice!”

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
