No Gloating!

God’s word for me today is in Micah 7:8 which says:

8 “Do not gloat over me, my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise.
Though I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be my light.”

Micah is “telling” his enemy not to gloat over him, he said that even though he had fallen, he would rise. Even though he sat in darkness the Lord would be his light. Micah trusted in God, and he knew that God would protect him and save him. Micah knew that no enemy is stronger than God, he knew that God would be his light.

We can have that same faith. It seems impossible that we could be in the light because we were in the darkness of our sins. But we can be saved, we are saved because of what the son of God did. The son of God, Jesus, saved us from our sins! Jesus came down from heaven, took our sins on Him, and died for us on the cross! Jesus died for us so that we could live, He died for us so that we could come into the light and be saved from our sins! Jesus love us so much that He died on a cross with our sins on Him, taking all the punishment for us, when He Himself was perfect. He bore our sins as if He had done it all!

Jesus loved us so much that He died for us on the cross! We should share that good news with unbelievers! We should give them the Gospel so that they can trust in Jesus and be saved from their sins! We should share the Gospel with them so that they can be brought into the light and live! We should spread the Gospel whenever and wherever we can!

If you have not trusted in Jesus then why don’t you trust in Him now? He died on the cross so that you could live, you can trust in Him and be saved! Why don’t you trust in our savior and live?

We live because Jesus died and rose again on the third day. We are saved because Jesus loved us even though we didn’t love Him at first. A man might die for a friend, but Jesus died for His enemies! Praise the Lord that we are saved from our sins! Thank You Jesus for loving us so much that You died for us on the cross!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
