God’s word for me today is in Micah 1:11 which says:
All this is happening because of sin. The Israelites were sinners, because of that they were in shame and they were going to be destroyed. Beth Ezel went into mourning and they no longer protected the Israelites. The people who lived in Zaanan (which sounds in Hebrew like come out) would not come out. The people in Shaphir (which means pleasant) were shameful.
We were sinners too, just like the Israelites. Just like the Israelites we were going to be destroyed. Just like the Israelites whatever we were trusting in no longer protected us. But then the son of God came down from heaven and died for us on the cross! Jesus loved us so much that He atoned for our sins by taking them on Himself and dying on a cross.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV John 3:16)
Jesus loved us so much that He died for us! Isn’t that news worth sharing? We should share that good news with unbelievers! Jesus loved us so much that He died for our sins! Shouldn’t we want to share such amazing news with those who have not trusted in Jesus? Because if we share the Gospel with unbelievers then they can trust in Jesus and be saved from their sins! You could be the last person to tell them the Gospel, you might be the last person to share that they can be saved from their sins!
If you have not trusted in Jesus, then please do it now! Jesus loved you so much that He died for your sins on the cross! Why don’t you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus? Yes it requires you to humble yourself and admit that you are a sinner, but if you will trust in Jesus then He will save you from your sins! That’s why He died for you! Why don’t you pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your savior? He will rescue you!
Now we are pleasant, now we can come out with no shame because Jesus has taken it all away! Now we are covered in the blood of the lamb. Now Jesus is protecting us and we can never fall out of His hands. All of this because Jesus died for us on the cross! Praise the Lord!
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
