Restoration

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Amos 9:11 which says:

11 “In that day

“I will restore David’s fallen shelter—
I will repair its broken walls
    and restore its ruins—
and will rebuild it as it used to be,
12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom
and all the nations that bear my name,[a]
declares the Lord, who will do these things.”

The Lord had pity on Israel and He was going to restore Israel! The Lord was going to restore the ruins of the city of Israel and He was going to bring them back to the city. He was going repair the broken walls and fix the broken shelter.

We were undone too. But the Lord had pity on us. We were sinners who were going to die, but now we are fixed. Jesus, the son of God, died for us on the cross! He took our sins on Him and died for us so that we could live! We are now repaired and restored. Jesus’ sacrifice saved us from our sins and now we live! Jesus loved us so much that He died in our place at the cross! We would never have been fixed had it not been for Jesus!

We are the people that bear the name of the Lord! We will live in the new Jerusalem because we bear the name of the Lord. Unbelievers do not bear the name of the Lord and they have not been saved from their sins. If you are an unbeliever than why don’t you trust in Him and live? If you believe in Jesus then you will bear the name of the Lord. Why don’t you believe in Jesus who died for you at the cross? If you do then you will bear the name of the Lord!

As Christians we should show that we bear the name of the Lord. Because Jesus is in us and He is helping us to be more like Him. We should show unbelievers that we are Christians and that we have the name of the Lord. We should have a good testimony with our actions, and we should always share the Gospel! Jesus died for us so that we could live, we should want to share that Good news with unbelievers so that they can trust in Jesus and live!

Praise the Lord that we are saved from our sins!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.

i think beyond the pity, is that “the Lord Loved us”.

He loved us while yet we were sinners Christ died for us.

as John 3:16 implies “for God so loved the world … He gave Jesus His Son”

thanks for sharing Amos 9:11. it seems that God has a number we can call.. 911 🙂
