Hi, God’s word for me today is in Romans 16:25-27 which says:
“25 Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from[a] faith — 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.”
Paul is ending his letter to the Romans and he says “to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my Gospel (the Gospel of Jesus)” God is the only one who is able to establish us in accordance with the Gospel. Paul also calls the Gospel a mystery hidden for long ages past that has been revealed by the prophetic messages.
The Gospel was a mystery to us! But now it has been revealed through the “prophetic messages” or the Old Testament. We can look in the old Testament and see the Gospel in the old Testament. We were sinners who were going to die because of our sins but Jesus came down from heaven and He died for us on the cross so that we could live! If we trust in Jesus then we will be saved from our sins.
If you are an unbeliever then why don’t you trust in Him and be saved from your sins. The Gospel was a mystery to us, but now we know what the Gospel is because we have heard that Jesus died for us. Now if you trust in Jesus then you will be saved. Jesus died for us on the cross, it was a mystery to the Jews before Jesus died but now He died for us and we live!
All Christians should have faith, because we trust in Jesus’ death. We should also share our faith with others so that they can trust in Jesus and live! We have faith and we should share our faith with unbelievers so that the Gospel is not a mystery to them and so that they can live!
Praise the Lord that we are saved from our sins because Jesus died for us! Thank God that we can trust in Jesus and live. Thank You Jesus for dying for us on the cross so that we could live!
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
