Call On the Name Of the Lord

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Romans 10:12-14 which says:

12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile —the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[a] 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

In verse 12 Paul talks about how there is no difference between Jew and Gentile. Of course we are all different people but on the inside all of us are sinners, and we all need Jesus as our savior! Jesus died for us and we are saved if we trust in Him! Everyone, Jew and Gentile, can trust in Jesus and be saved from their sins! All of us can trust in Jesus and repent of our sins and when you do then you are saved from your sins because Jesus came and took all of our sins on Him and died for us on the cross! Now we can trust in Him as our savior and live!

All people can call out to God and He will bless us by forgiving us of our sins because Jesus died for us. If you have not trusted in Jesus, whether you are a Jew or Gentile, why don’t you call out to God and He will richly bless you with freedom from your sins! Jesus died for you and if you trust in Him you will be blessed richly by being forgiven of your sins! If you call on the name of the Lord then you will be saved from your sins! Paul said that in verse 13, if you call on the name of the Lord then you will be saved!

How can unbelievers trust in Jesus if they don’t hear the Gospel? Paul asks that question in verse 14, unbelievers need someone to tell them about the Gospel. Pastors, preach the Gospel! Look for the Gospel in every passage of the Bible, the Gospel is the main point of the Bible. Pastors should preach the Gospel so that unbelievers can trust in Jesus and live. For women we should share the Gospel with others by talking to them and telling them that Jesus died for their sins so that they could live!

Jesus died for our sins, we can call onto Him and be richly blessed, not only are we blessed with forgiven of our sins but because the Lord Himself loves us! The Lord will provide for us no matter what, He loves us, He died for us!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
