The Gift Of God, Eternal Life

Hi, God’s word for me  today is in Romans 6:23 which says:

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The wages of sin is death, that is what Paul says. The wages of sin is death and we were sinners, we were going to die in our sins. Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, all humans (Jesus was fully man and He was fully God and Jesus did not sin) are sinners. But Jesus (who was and is God’s son) came down from heaven and died for our sins on the cross. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus!

Jesus died for our sins on the cross, if you haven’t trusted in Jesus then why don’t you do that now? The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus, we are freed from our sins if we trust in Jesus. Jesus took our sins on Him and with our sins He took the wages of sin, He died for us. Now we are free from our sins and from death. Yes, we will die physically, but we will live forever with Jesus in heaven if we trust in Him.

God gave us the gift of eternal life, and even though it seems like we should, we can’t “repay” God. God gave us the gift of eternal life, it is free. He loved us so much that He gave us the gift of eternal life if we trust in Jesus. That alone should make us want to praise Him! The response that we have to the Gospel should be praise. Christians should want to praise God. Praise the Lord that He has given us eternal life through His son who has died for us on the cross!

Praise the Lord for sending His son to die for us on the cross. Thank You Jesus for giving us eternal life by dying for us and rising again on the third day. Jesus died for us on the cross and when He died for us, He gave us eternal life. Praise God for giving us life through His son. Thank You Jesus for being our atoning sacrifice and dying for us on the cross. Jesus took our sins and the wages of sin, He died for us. Thank You Jesus!

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
