Overflowing Grace

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Romans 5:15-16 which says:

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.”

Adam and Eve brought sin into the world when they disobeyed God, and when they disobeyed God they made every human a sinner but Jesus’ sacrifice did more than that. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and He brought grace into the world and it overflows to many. Adam brought a curse and sin into the world but Jesus came and brought a blessing into the world. Jesus died for our sins so that we could live, now we are alive in Jesus.

Adam sinned and brought condemnation on man and Jesus died for us and now our sins are atoned for. Jesus died for us and now we are freed from our sins. If you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus then you will be freed from your sins because of Jesus. Jesus came and He took the curse and our sin along with God’s wrath on Him, and He died for us on the cross so that we could live.

Paul says that the gift of God (Jesus) cannot be compared with one man’s sin. Jesus died for us, and that is much bigger than one man’s sin. God gave up His very life for us, that is an amazing gift! Our sins have been atoned for and we are no longer under God’s wrath, that is what Jesus did for us on the cross. Jesus died for us on the cross, now we are free from our sins.

We should accept the gift that God has given us, we should trust in Jesus! As Christians we should tell unbelievers about the good news that Jesus died for us. We should share the gift of God with them. We should give them the Gospel. Jesus came down from heaven and His grace overflows to us, now we are free from our sins and trespasses.

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
