Feed My Sheep

Hi, God’s word for me today is in John 21:16-17 which says,

“16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” 17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.”

Today we will be looking at how we should “feed the sheep (children) of God” just like how Jesus told Peter to feed His (Jesus’) sheep and to take care of His (Jesus’) sheep. If you are a man then you can feed the sheep of God by preaching the Gospel to them. As a woman you can tell the Gospel to those you talk to and to your children.

We should “feed the sheep of God” by giving them the Gospel. We should also be fed as sheep of God. We should go to a church that preaches the Gospel that Jesus died for us so that we could live. The Gospel is the most important thing because it is the message that us (as sinners) can receive Jesus (who died for us on a cross with our sins and God’s wrath on Him) as our savior and live. We should give the Gospel to the sheep of God and to the unbelievers so that they can trust in Jesus.

Men should (if they are able and willing) become pastors so that they can preach the Gospel to their congregation. Women can give the Gospel to their kids and they can find ways to share the Gospel with people. If believers stop hearing the Gospel they will go spiritually hungry and they could grow cold in their faith. Even though they are believers they still need to hear the Gospel frequently.

We should give the Gospel to unbelievers so that they can become believers and grow in their faith. We should give the Gospel to unbelievers so that they can have eternal life. We should feed the sheep and we should help to bring new sheep to the pasture. We should give the Gospel to unbelievers and to believers and we should find a church that preaches the Gospel so that we can go to that church and hear the Gospel.

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
