Hi, God’s word for me today is in John 20:15-16 which says:
“15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).”
Jesus was buried and Mary came to the tomb and found that it was open. She ran and told the disciples and Peter and John ran to the tomb. John got there first but didn’t go in and when Peter got there he went in. Then John went in and found Jesus’ burial clothes. Then Mary stood outside the tomb crying because she didn’t even now where Jesus’ body was. Two angels asked her why she was crying and she answered that they had taken her Lord away. Then Jesus appeared behind her but she thought He was the gardener. Jesus asked why she was crying and who she was looking for so she answered that if He had carried Jesus away then would He please tell her and she would go to Jesus’ body. Then Jesus said “Mary” and she realized who He was. He was Jesus!
Jesus rose from the grave on the third day! If Jesus had stayed then our hope would have been dead but Jesus rose from the grave and is alive and so is our hope! Jesus died on the cross with our sins and God’s wrath on Him so that we could live. But if He didn’t rise from the grave then we would have no hope but Jesus did rise from the grave on the third day! Now we have a living hope.
Jesus died for our sins on the cross, if you are an unbeliever than why don’t you trust in Jesus? Jesus rose from the grave and He is our living hope, why don’t you trust in Him and receive eternal life? Why don’t you trust in Jesus and repent of your sins? If you repent of your sins and believe in Jesus then you will have eternal life in heaven and you will be free from your sins!
As Christians we should help unbelievers to trust in Jesus, we should give them the Gospel that Jesus died on the cross with our sins on Him and then rose again on the third day. We should give the Gospel to unbelievers. We should also cling to Jesus, Jesus has us in His hands but that doesn’t mean that we can’t cling to Him. We should cling to Jesus and give the Gospel to unbelievers.
Thank You Jesus for dying for our sins on the cross. Thank You Jesus for rising again on the third day and then ascending into heaven to prepare a place for us and to mediate on our behalf. Thank You Jesus for loving us enough to die for our sins on the cross. Thank You Jesus.
Are you trusting in Jesus?
