Hi, today the sermon we heard did not have the Gospel in it so I’m giving you a summary of how the Gospel should have been drawn out of that passage. The passage is Acts 27:13-26. That passage is about Paul getting in the middle of a terrible storm because soldiers had taken him onto the boat even though he knew that they were going to be in the middle of the storm because God had told Him.
That boat is like a person who has not accepted Christ as their savior. They are in a hurricane of sin and they can’t see the way out of it. In Acts it says that they (all the people on the boat) had lost all hope and sinners who are in the middle of a hurricane of sin have lost all hope of getting out. But just like Paul brought good news all to all of the people on board (an angel had told him that they would survive), someone tells the unbeliever the Gospel that they can get out of sin if they repent of their sins and ask Jesus to save them.
If you are an unbeliever in the hurricane of sin then you can repent of your sins and ask Jesus to save you! Jesus will save you.
That is my summary of the Gospel in this passage, I hope you enjoyed it!
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
