What You Have Given Me

Hi, God’s word for me today is in John 17:6-7 which says,

“I have revealed you[a] to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.”

In this passage Jesus is still praying and He is praying for His disciples. Jesus is talking to His Father and He is saying that He had revealed the Father to His disciples. Jesus is saying that His disciples were His Fathers and that His Father (God) had given them (the disciples) to Him (Jesus). Now the disciples knew that everything God had given to Jesus came from God.

The disciples were in a way children of God. But if you are not saved by Jesus, if you are an unbeliever then you are not a child of God. How can you become a child of God? By trusting in Jesus! Jesus came down from heaven and died for our sins on the cross, if you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus’ sacrifice then you become a child of God.

If you are an unbeliever then why don’t you trust in Jesus and live? Why don’t you ask Jesus to come into your heart and make you His? Why don’t you believe in Jesus and have eternal life? Jesus died for your sins on a cross, why don’t you trust in Jesus and become a child of God?

Jesus died for us and Christians should give out that good news. We should tell unbelievers that Jesus died for their sins, we should share the Gospel that Jesus died for our sins on a cross, with unbelievers so that they can trust in Jesus and be saved. We should give unbelievers the Gospel so that they can have eternal life.

Thank You Jesus for dying for us on the cross. Thank You Jesus for making us Your’s by dying for us. Thank You Jesus for being our atoning sacrifice. Thank You Jesus for letting us trust in You and for giving us eternal life. Thank You Jesus for being our savior and dying for us on a criminals cross.

Are you trusting in Jesus?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
