Hi, God’s word for me today is in John 9:39-41 which says,
“For judgment I have come into the world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” Some of the Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?” Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, you guilt remains.”
In this passage Jesus had heard that the man who had been healed was thrown out of the synagogue and He came to the man, Jesus asked the man if he believed in the Son of Man. The man who once was blind said that he did not know who the Son of Man was, and then he asked Jesus who the Son of Man was so that he could become a believer. Jesus told Him that He (Jesus) was the Son of Man. Then the man who once was blind believed and worshiped. Then we come to verse 39-41 where Jesus says why He had come into the world and the Pharisees overhear Him.
But what does Jesus mean when He says that He had come into the world for judgment? What does Jesus mean when He says that He had come into the world to make the blind see and to make those who see blind? Well what Jesus means is that we were all blind in sins, we were going to die because we were sinners and we had God’s wrath on us. But Jesus came down from heaven and He died for our sins so that we could live! Jesus loved us enough to die for us on the cross. What did Jesus mean when He said that the Pharisees said they could see and were guilty because of that? The Pharisees claimed that they were perfect; they said that they kept all the rules but in truth no one could obey the law. But the Pharisees, who were blind just like everyone else (meaning they had sin) said that they could see (said that they were perfect).
That was why Jesus came down from heaven and died for our sins. Jesus died for us because He loved us, He died for us and He atoned perfectly for our sins. We just have to repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our savior, Jesus sets us free from our sins we just have to repent of our sins and believe in Him. We should trust in Jesus, we should believe in Him and live. We should trust in Jesus and be set free from our sins. We should trust in Jesus as our savior. We should believe in Him and be set free from our sins, some people think that we are free to sin if we trust in Jesus but that is not true, we are set free from our sins. We should trust in Jesus and live, we should believe in Him and be set free from sin.
We should also be like the man who once was blind. We should ask worship Jesus! We should worship Jesus, He made us and He died for us (God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus are all three in one). We should praise God for having mercy on us sinners. We should also share the Gospel with unbelievers. We should give unbelievers the Gospel so that they came live, so that they can be set free from their sins. We should worship God and share the Gospel with unbelievers and with believers (so that we can encourage them).
Thank You Jesus for coming down from heaven to die for our sins. Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross with our sins and God’s wrath on You. Thank You Jesus for coming down from heaven to be our atoning sacrifice. Thank You Jesus for rising again on the third day and then ascending into heaven to prepare a place for us and to mediate on our behalf. Thank You Jesus for loving us enough to die for our sins on a cross. Thank You Jesus for all that You have done for us.
Do you trust in Jesus?
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
