Panting for Jesus

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Joel 1:20 which says,

“Even the wild animals pant for you;
the streams of water have dried up
and fire has devoured the pastures in the wilderness.”

Joel is saying that even the wild animals pant for the Lord, and the reason was because the land was becoming dried up, a fire had devoured the land. But the Israelites either didn’t realize or they didn’t want to realize that it was because of their sins. When the Israelites sinned and continued to sin the Lord punished them by sending locusts and fire so that even the wild animals panted for Him. The Israelites had to repent before the Lord would have mercy on them.

We also had to repent, but we also needed a perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. The only problem is that there wasn’t a perfect sacrifice in the whole entire world, so we were going to die because of our sins. But a perfect sacrifice came down from heaven and became a man to die for our sins on the cross. That perfect sacrifice was Jesus the son of God, He came down from heaven to die for our sins on a cross, thank You so much Jesus! He loved us enough to not only become man but to die for our sins with God’s wrath on Him at the cross.

Jesus died for our sins so that we could live. We should accept Him as our sacrifice, without Him we are a herd of sheep without any place to drink water or to graze. We pant for a sacrifice and Jesus was that sacrifice. We should accept Him. If you haven’t accepted Jesus then why don’t you accept Him now? Dear Jesus, thank You for coming down from heaven to be my savior, please come into my heart and make me clean. Please help me to accept You as my savior, in Jesus’ name amen.

Christians should share the Gospel with unbelievers. We should share with them the good news of salvation so that they can be saved, we should also trust in Jesus as our savior. If we don’t trust in Him we will not have a good relationship with Him. We should also read our Bibles and pray to God so that we can listen and read His words and so that we can talk to Him. But most importantly, we should meditate on the Gospel and always remember the Gospel.

Thank You Jesus for dying for our sins on the cross. Thank You for becoming a man and then living a perfect life for us. Thank You for being beaten beyond recognition for us. Thank You for taking on our sins and God’s wrath and dying on the cross for us. Thank You for being buried and then on the third day rising again. Thank You for ascending into heaven, after appearing to thousands of people, and mediating on our behalf and preparing a place for us. Thank You Jesus for dying for us.
