Hi, God’s word for me today is in Hosea 6:1-2 which says,
““Come, let us return to the LORD.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.”
Now the Israelites are repenting, now they are turning to the true God. The Israelites thought that the Lord was going to heal them and that on the third day they would be restored and that they could live in His presence. But the only way that they would be accepted would be if they repented and lived in righteousness from then on. But the point is that if we repent the Lord will restore us from our sins.
As always the way that we are restored is by a sacrifice, but this wasn’t just any sacrifice. The sacrifice that came down from heaven to atone for our sins was Jesus. But who exactly is Jesus? Jesus was (and is) the son of God and He died for our sins, He actually came down from heaven to die for our sins. But we still need to answer the question why, why would Jesus die for our sins? Because He loved us! Jesus loved us so much that He came down from heaven and died for our sins on a criminals cross, even though we should have died on the cross Jesus did for us. Thank You Jesus!
Christ died for our sins and Christians are saved and healed by Christ. Jesus died on the cross and was buried, but on the third day He rose again and that was when we were refreshed. If Jesus had just died then He would have been like any normal mad, but on the third day He rose from the grave and (after appearing to many people) He ascended into heaven to mediate on our behalf. Christ refreshed us and cleansed us on the third day but if we don’t accept Him then we are saying no to our only way of life. We should accept Jesus and be cleansed of our sins, all we have to do is accept Him and repent and Jesus will cleanse us. Thank You Jesus.
Jesus died for our sins and we need to repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our savior instead of our works. We should also share the Gospel with other people, if we share the Gospel with others we are sharing life to those who are dead in their sins. It should be a great honor to be used by God to share the Gospel with others. Another thing that Christians should do and something that comes as our response to the Gospel (or it should) is praising and worshiping Jesus Christ. He is worthy of our praise because He saved us from our sins, our works couldn’t do that and no other man could save us either but Jesus did.
Praise Jesus for coming down from heaven and then living a perfect life just to be accused of our sins and die on a cross. Thank You Jesus for dying for our sins and then rising on the third day to cleanse us, thank You Jesus for ascending in to heaven to mediate on our behalf and to prepare a place for us. Thank You Jesus for giving us an opportunity to share the Gospel with others and to be used by God in widening the kingdom. Thank You Jesus.
Are you trusting in Jesus?
