Hi, God’s word for me today is in Daniel 12:10 which says,
“Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.”
This is the last chapter of Daniel and the man who Daniel met is still predicting the future. This verse is saying that many people would be purified, made spotless and refined. But the wicked would continue to be wicked and none of the wicked people would understand. But the wise people would understand. The Lord was going to purify many people but the wicked ones would stay wicked and ignorant.
The Lord was going to purify many people, and He purified us too we just have to accept how He purified us. We should accept the sacrifice that God sent down to die for us because He loved us, we should accept Jesus Christ the son of God. He was the sacrifice, and in fact Jesus came down from heaven because He loved us, He came down from heaven to take our sins and God’s wrath on Him and die on the cross. He took our place on the cross, and we took His place as sons and daughters of God. Thank You Jesus.
Jesus came down from heaven as our atoning sacrifice, and He gave us wisdom. He is living in us and because He is living in us (Jesus is living in Christians) He is giving us wisdom. He is giving us wisdom to know what to do and to trust in Him. It is much better to be free and alive in Jesus Christ than it is to be ignorant and captive in our sins. Even though our sins promise us freedom and happiness the only true way to have joy and freedom is to accept Jesus as our savior.
Now that we are free in Jesus we shouldn’t just keep on sinning. Freedom in Christ does not give us a license to sin, here is what Paul says about that,
“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?”
We have died to our sins and we can’t continue with something that we have died to. Thank You Jesus for dying for our sins on the cross.
Praise Jesus for coming down from heaven and atoning for our sins. Thank You Jesus for giving us wisdom and your righteousness. Thank You that we have freedom from our sins in You, thank You that in You we are dead to our sins. Thank You so much Jesus for exchanging Your righteousness for our sins. Praise God for all that He has done for us, for all the blessings that He has given us. Thank You Jesus.
Are you trusting in Jesus as your atoning sacrifice?
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
