The king will do as he pleases, for awhile

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Daniel 11:36 which says,

““The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.”

The Lord is still telling Daniel what will happen in his future (or the future of the people) and in this verse the Lord is saying that the king that is going to rise up will do ass he pleases. The king will exalt himself above all the gods and he will even say unheard of things about the God of gods (the one true god). But he will only be successful until the time of wrath was completed, then he would be taken down. If you exalt yourself above everyone and say terrible things about the one true God, you can be sure that even if you think your successful, you’re going to be taken down.

We were going to be destroyed because of our sins (just like the king was) and unless we could find a perfect sacrifice to die in our place, we were gong to die. But God Himself loved us so much that He sent a perfect sacrifice to die on the cross for our sins, that sacrifice was His own son. God sacrifice His one and only son so that we could be blocked from the wind of God’s wrath. Jesus loved us enough to die on a cross for us. Just as when my dad and me were walking and he stepped in front of me and blocked the wind that was hitting us so Jesus came and stood in front of us to bear all the wind (that would have blown us away) of God’s wrath.

If we do not accept Jesus as our savior we will be blown away by God’s wrath. We will be destroyed because of our sins, but if we accept Jesus we are blocked from God’s wrath and we are safe in Him, we have become children of God because of what Jesus has done for us. We just have to accept Him as our savior.

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” (NIV 1 John 3:2)

We are now the children of God because of what Jesus has done for us, thank You Jesus.

In the verse in 1 John it says that we shall be like Jesus. Because Jesus is in us He is helping us to become more like Him and we should strive to be more like Him. We should also share the Gospel with others so that they can become children of God, and we should praise and worship Jesus. Thank You Jesus for dying and atoning for our sins.

Thank You Jesus for blocking us from God’s wrath and for letting us have a strong foundation to stand on. Thank You for taking our sins and God’s wrath on you on the cross. Thank You for taking our place as sinners on the cross so that we could take your place as the perfect sons and daughters of God. Thank You Jesus.

Are you trusting in Jesus Christ?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
