Humble yourself

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Daniel 10:12 which says,

“Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.”

Daniel was having a vision and here a man is talking to him (the man was part of the vision) and he (the man) was saying that Daniel didn’t need to be afraid because he had humbled himself before the Lord. Because Daniel had humbled himself before the Lord the man who was talking to him came in response to what Daniel had said (Daniel had prayed to God about his sins and the sins of the people) and because Daniel had humbled himself God listened to him. God listens to those humble themselves before him.

God listened to Daniel because he had humbled himself, God listens to us because Jesus died for us. We were sinners and we were going to die because of our sins but Jesus who was (and is) the son of God came down from heaven to die for our sins. He came down to be our atoning sacrifice by dying on a cross, He actually loved us enough to humble Himself and die a criminals death on a cross.

God listens to us if we put our faith in Christ and ask for repentance from sins, if we don’t we are dirty and sinful because we have not accepted Jesus sacrifice. But if we do accept His sacrifice we are clean and pure in God’s eyes because we have been washed in the blood of Jesus. Jesus died to save us of our sins, we should accept Him and become clean.

As Christians we should humble ourselves and die to ourselves. We should worship Christ and what He has done for us and we should share the Gospel with others. Jesus died to save us from our sins and we should thank Him for saving us from death and from God’s wrath, thank You Jesus.

Praise God for sending His son to die for us. Praise God that He loved us enough to give up His one and only son as a living sacrifice for our sins.

“God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (NIV 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Jesus became sin so that we could become the righteousness of God, thank You Jesus.

Are you trusting in Jesus?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
