Saved from the wicked

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Jeremiah 15:21 which says, “I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel.”

God is talking through Jeremiah to the Israelites. He said in the verses before that if the Israelites repented and the people around them turned to them not the other way around, then God would save them if the people around them tried to overcome them. If they repented the Lord would save them from the evil and wicked people, if they didn’t repent they were the wicked, evil people.

Sin brings God’s wrath but repentance brings His forgiveness and mercy. And if we believe in Jesus we are saved from the evil wicked people, why? Because of Jesus’ sacrifice! Jesus was in the hands of the pharisees and or Pilate and Herod, and they were wicked people. We are saved from the grasp of the cruel and the hands of the wicked because Jesus was crucified in their hands.

Jesus saved us from our sins on the cross. And He saves us from the hand of the wicked, I’m not saying that christians aren’t persecuted there are martyrs, but God is always with us no matter what. And we have a God that loves and so much that He died for our sins,

For God so loved the world that He gave His on and only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His son to condemn the world but to save the world through Him.

God loves us so much that He died for our sins, it is amazing that Jesus, the God and creator of the universe would die for our sins.

Are you trusting in Jesus amazing atoning sacrifice?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
