Betrayed by family

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Jeremiah 12:6 which says, “Your brothers, your own family- even they have betrayed you; they have raised a loud cry against you.”

Can you even think of that? Your brothers and your family betraying you, and raising a loud cry against you? Well someone did have that happen to Him. And this verse pointed forward to it. This verse is a picture of that, and that someone was Jesus. Jesus was betrayed at the cross. Jesus was the only one that has ever been betrayed and then proclaimed guilty even though everyone knew that He hadn’t sinned. He is the only one that has had the wrath of God and the sins of everyone who ever lived on Him.

Jesus was (and is) perfect and He came down from Heaven to die for us. He had a loud cry against Him and everyone betrayed Him. The verse in Jeremiah is pointing forward to how Jesus‘ brothers betrayed Him. The Jews were His “brothers” of course not physically but He grew up there. And they betrayed Him. So did Judas he betrayed Jesuswith a kiss. And He got 30 sheckles for Him.

Jesus was betrayed by everyone and hung on a cross for His innocence. He really had our sins on Him. He died for our sins so that we could live and not have God’s wrath on us, thank you Jesus.

Jesus took on our sins, He is the atonement for our sins, ”

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

Jesus died for us so that we could live, He is the propitiation, or atonement for our sin. Thank you Jesus.

Do you believe in Jesus atoning sacrifice that paid for all of our sins?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
