Hi, God’s word for me today is in Jeremiah 3:13 which says, “Only acknowledge your guilt- you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,'” declares the Lord.”
If you want to know what sin Jeremiah is talking about, it’s around verse 2. But God wanted the Israelites to repent of their sin, but God also needs a sacrifice. And I’ve said before that God was tired of their sacrifices of bulls and lambs, that was just a picture of Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice. They looked forward to the one to come, they didn’t know His name they didn’t even know what He was going to do, but they knew that He was going to save them. And He did save all of us (us also means them) on the cross.
Jesus was the one that they looked forward to, and He is the one that saved us all, He died on the cross for us! He saved us from our sins, even though He was (and is) perfect, He died for us so that we could live thank you Jesus! Jesus was our sacrifice, He was willing (even though He was and is the God and creator of the universe) to die for our sins.
Jesus is our savior, He died and removed the sins of the people way before Jesus time and way after Jesus time, He removed the sins of everybody in the world that ever lived. We just have to believe in Him and His atonement for our sins, ”
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus is our atonement or our propitiation, thank you Jesus.
Are you trusting in Jesus?
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
