Hi, God’s word for me today is in Jeremiah 1:8 which says, “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.”
The Lord had just told Jeremiah that He wanted him to be a prophet, He said He had chosen him when he was in his mother’s womb. And the Lord is saying that Jeremiah shouldn’t be afraid of the people, because prophets don’t always exactly preach what people want preached, so they don’t take it well. Anyway the Lord was Jeremiah’s rescue, he could trust in God. And we can also trust in God to be our rescue.
Jesus came down from Heaven and was born of a virgin and He lived a perfect life. And the Jews did not like Him, why? Because He kept proving them wrong! Anyway they wanted to crucify Him and, because the Lord had planned it, they did. He was buried, but on the third day He rose again! But what did He accomplish? He took away our sins, if we just believe in Him then He is our rescue, thank you Jesus.
What I’m saying is that Jesus atoned for our sins, He was the sacrifice that took away our sin, once and for all. ”
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus is our rescue from sins. He is our propitiation or atonement, thank you Jesus.
Are you trusting in God for your rescue?
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
