Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 54:4 which says, “Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.”
Wait a second. What does Isaiah mean by the fact that we won’t have any shame or disgrace, why would I have that? Because of your sin! Sin is something that gives us shame, and disgrace. So if we all sin then why aren’t some of us shameful? Because Jesus took away our sins, if we believe in Him we are saved. He took all of our sins on Him.
Jesus died for our sins on the cross. Even though He was (and is) perfect He died for us, He took all of our sins. Even if you think that since we weren’t even born by the time Jesus died we don’t count, but if that were true Jesus would have to die for every generation! Jesus took sins from people before He died and after He died, if we believe in Jesus we are saved, thank you Jesus.
He took the penalty for our sins, “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus took all of our shame and all of our disgrace and He took it on Himself and gave us His righteousness, we should trust in Jesus.
Are you trusting in Jesus, and the fact that He died for you?
Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
