Teaches you in the way you should go…

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 48:17 which says, “This is what the Lord says- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”

That’s clear, the Lord is saying that He is going to lead them in the way they should go, just like how He leads us right? Yes that is right. But does that mean that He is going to give us whatever we want, because it says that He teaches us what is best for us. He does teach us that, but first of all teaching is different then giving (although He does give us what we need) and the words “want” and “need” are different, want is something that we think we need and need is something that we truly need. Oh okay, just wondering.

Anyway when it says that He teaches us what He knows what’s best for us, it means that we should listen to what He has to say, we need to sit at His feet and listen to Him not go around all busy. We should know that sitting at Jesus feet is much better then anything else in the world, not just because He knows a lot and things like that, but because of what He did for us. Christ died for us on the cross, He loved (and He still loves) us so much that He died for us, thank you Jesus. God sent His only son to die for us, ”

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him. (NIV John 3:16-17)

Are you trusting that Christ died for your sins on the cross?

Grace and truth, Charity Cleveland.
