Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 30:18 which says, “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him.”
This is exactly what Jesus did on the cross, but He was gracious to us, He didn’t just long to be gracious, and He showed us compassion, but He gave our punishment for our sins to Jesus, who didn’t have any sins, but why? He did it so that we could go free of our sins! Even though He was (and is) perfect, and even though we deserve the punishment that He had, He still took it for us, because He loved (and loves) us, thank you so much Jesus.
So Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, ”
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (ESV 1 John 2:2)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(ESV John 3:16)
Those verses clearly state that Jesus died for our sins because He loved us (and loves us), and He doesn’t love us because of anything we have done (will do or are doing), and He loves us so much that He paid the price for our sins, that is amazing, thank you so much Jesus.
Do you believe that Jesus loved (and loves) you so much that He paid the price on the cross for your sins?
