Stop your mocking…

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 28:22 which says, “Now stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier; the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land.”

That is what we were living in before (or are living in, depending if you’ve accepted Jesus as your savior), because we mocked Jesus at the cross, and, even if we knew it or not, we had chains, chains of sin but Jesus set us free from our chains of sin,

For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon. (ESV Luke 18:32)

We mocked Him too, we spit on Him,  “

And Jesus said,

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (ESV Luke 23:34)

Jesus forgave us, but there is still one question, why did He die? To save us from our sins! Because we are all sinful, you may think that you are perfect, or that you don’t need a savior, but if you have even ever in you life time told a lie, or if, when you were a baby, you cried, you have sinned, and you deserve hell, but that is why Jesus died for us, the last part of that verse says that the Lord had told Isaiah about the destruction of the land, and we all would have been destroyed because of our sins, if Jesus hadn’t died for us, thank you Jesus.

You probably know the verse in Romans that says we shouldn’t keep on sinning, but just to be sure, “

Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? (ESV Romans 5:20-21 & Romans 6:1-3)

Well we can’t live in our sins any more, because Jesus died for us.

Do you believe that Jesus died for you?
