The Lord is our escape

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 20:6 which says, “In that day the people who live on this coast will say, “See what has happened to those we relied on, those we fled to for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?”

So here these people are saying that the men that they trusted have been taken away (read the verses before) and that they don’t have anyone to trust in, but they made a mistake, by leaning on other people and trusting ONLY in them, yes we can trust people, but not for our life, it’s not like any human knows how many breaths you have left, or how many heart beats, no human knows how long you’re going to live, and even if they can help you, you shouldn’t put all your trusts in them, because people, and I don’t mean to be blunt, but they will let you down, so who can we trust?

The answer is God, because He sent His only son Jesus (although Jesus is God, because Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are three in one, they are the trinity) to die for our sins on the cross, so we can totally put all of our trusts in Jesus, because He will never let us down, because He is not human, even though He had a body, that didn’t mean that He was totally human, because He was God-man, and even if it seems like He’s let you down, He hasn’t if you look back on it, then you will see it’s for your good, God only does things that are for your good, even if it doesn’t seem like it, and trust me, sometimes it doesn’t seem like it, but we can run to Jesus, like that song “Run to Jesus, fly to Jesus“, and the reason we can know for sure that we can trust Him is that He died for us, thank you Jesus.

So even if God tests you, He will never turn His back on you, because He turned His face away from Jesus, He will never turn His face away from us, and God will test us, like Abraham, ”

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.”He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (ESV Genesis 22:1-2)

So Abraham was tested and we will be too, and God will help us through it,

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (ESV 1 Corinthians 10:13)

So we will not be tempted beyond what we can bear, and Jesus will help us through it, thank you Jesus.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins?
