Jesus took away our terror

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 13:8 which says, “Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.”

So, I know that this verse doesn’t seem very good, but we can apply this to Jesus, how? Because Jesus took away our terror, He was in pain and anguish at the cross, but why? So that we wouldn’t have to die for our sins, because Jesus did for us, thank you so much Jesus.

So Jesus was in anguish like a woman giving labor, ”

When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

But Jesus had it much worse than a woman giving labor, because He had the sins of the whole world on His shoulders, and not only that, but He had God’s wrath, that should have been on us, on Him, and He did all of this so that we could go free of our sins, we are (if we have accepted Christ as our saviour) now captive to Christ, and Jesus is holding on to us and He will not let us go, but not only is He holding on to us, we are grabbing onto Him, ”

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (ESV John 10:28-29)

So Jesus and the Father are holding onto us, and nobody, not even us, is able to snatch us out of His hand, but not only are we in the Father hand, but we are holding on to the Fathers hand, thank you Jesus for holding onto us.

Do you believe that Jesus took away your sins?
