Hi, God’s word for me today is in Isaiah 5:15-16 which say, “So man will be brought low and mankind humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled. But the Lord Almighty will be exalted by His justice, and the holy God will show Himself holy by His righteousness.”
So here it says that man will be humbled and God will be exalted, and that happened at the cross, you may wonder how, because Jesus, who is God, dying on a cross, I mean how does that humble man and exalt God, because He was weak then and the pharisees got what they wanted, wouldn’t you think that when Jesus was performing a miracle and the pharisees asked Him a question trying to trip Him up and He answered perfectly and they couldn’t think of something to say back would be good, wouldn’t you think that would be a time that He was exalted? Well actually He was exalted at the cross because even though it seemed like He was the most weak then, really He was saving the world, because we are not perfect (we never were and we never will be) so because of the law we would have to die if we even did a “small” sin once and everyone has, so we would have to die, except for the fact that Jesus died in our place, He was a substitute like in Leviticus, ”
One shall not differentiate between good or bad, neither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.” (ESV Leviticus 27:33)
So the only difference between the substitute in Leviticus and Jesus is that Jesus was our substitute, and in Leviticus if a substitute was made then both the substitute and the normal sacrifice would be made holy, so we were made holy through Jesus sacrifice, thank you so much Jesus.
Do you believe that if you accept Jesus as your saviour that you are made holy through His sacrifice?
