The Lord brings good times and bad

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Ecclesiastes 9:12 which says, “Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come; As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.”

So Solomon is saying that evil times come to everyone, and it seems like God doesn’t love us in those times, but it is for our good, we might find out how a few days later or it could be years, but God loves us, and you know how I know that? Because He sent His one and only son to die for our sins on the cross! He loved (and loves) us so much that He actually died on a cross for us, even though He was (and is) perfect, thank you so much Jesus.

So Jesus loved (and loves) us so much that He came down from Heaven and then died on a cross for us, even though everyone knew he was innocent, the pharisees knew because they couldn’t find anything He ever did wrong, not even a lie, and Pilate knew because the pharisees couldn’t bring a good charge against Jesus, they brought false witnesses against Him, so they ended up twisting the truth, ever heard of the saying “half truth, whole lie” well that is what they were doing, they were lying by twisting Jesus‘ words, ”

Now the chief priests and the whole Council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.'” (ESV Matthew 26:59-61)

So they Jesus went through all of that for us, thank you so much Jesus. But that doesn’t mean that we can go on sinning, like Paul says, we are dead to sin and alive in Christ, thank you Jesus.

Do you believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sins?
