Hi, God’s word for me today is in Ecclesiastes 3:16 which says, “And I saw something else under the sun; In the place of judgement-wickedness was there, in the place of justice-wickedness was there.”
So Solomon is saying that he saw that instead of judgement and justice there was wickedness, that reminds me of something, let me think… oh yeah the gospel, because Jesus was (and is) innocent, Pilate said so himself, but the jews didn’t care, they just wanted to kill Him, so they brought false charges against Him,”
And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying, “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.'” (Mark 14:57-58 ESV)
So they brought false charges against Him, also when Pilate asked the jews what charges they had against Him (because when they brought false charges against Him it was before the Sanhedrin) they basically just said trust us He’s done something wrong, which, of course, was wrong, because Jesus never did anything wrong, in fact He lived a perfect life, and He gave us all of His perfection and righteousness at the cross and took away our sins, thank you so much Jesus.
So Jesus died on the cross with our sins on Him and He gave us His righteousness, and He was buried with our sins still on Him, but then on the third day He rose, but our sins are still in the grave, thank you so much Jesus, of course that doesn’t mean that we should keep on sinning because “after all we can say a little prayer and were forgiven” because, like Paul says in the end of Romans 5 and the beginning of Romans 6 that we are dead to sins.
So we are dead to our sin because Jesus died for us, we should be very thankful because even though He was (and is) perfect and we were sinful and we didn’t (and still don’t) deserve for Him to die, He still did, thank you so much Jesus.
Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins.
