Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 30:12 which says (and Agur is mentioning kinds of people), “Those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth.
So Agur is saying that people may think that they are pure, they may be pure in their own eyes, but they are not cleansed of their filth, meaning sin, and we may think that we are pure, but if we try to be on our own we will not succeed, because we cannot be perfect on our own, and that is why Jesus died, He died so that through Him we could be perfect, He lived a perfect life, and then He died on a cross, even though He didn’t deserve to die on a cross, He did die, for us, because He took our sins on Him, and then He died on the cross, and He was buried along with our sins, and then on the third day He rose, but the sins stayed behind, and then Jesus ascended into heaven and He is now preparing a place for us, thank you so much Jesus.
So we cannot be pure on our own, even if we think we are pure and we say “hey look at me I haven’t sinned” then we just sinned, because we were being prideful, so we all sin, no matter what, but, like I said, that is why Jesus died, and now the Holy Spirit is in us, and He is working in us, and making us acceptable to God, of course we sin, but we can ask for forgiveness, and we don’t sin habitually, it’s not like we just can’t stop doing this or that, we just have to ask God to help us, thank you so much Jesus.
So Jesus died for us, and we should accept Him, He is giving us His righteousness, His perfection, and taking away our sins, and not because we did anything, because we didn’t do anything, and we won’t ever do anything that makes us worthy of Jesus dying for us, because we are just sinners, but because of Jesus we are righteous, thank you Jesus.
Do you trust that Jesus died for your sins on the cross?
