Jesus gave us His righteousness

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 29:10 which says, “Bloodthirsty men hate a man of integrity and seek to kill the upright.”

So this reminded me of the pharisees, because the pharisees killed Jesus, and Jesus was the only upright person to ever live, and He was God-man, so the pharisees were bloodthirsty, another proof that on our own we cannot be perfect, because the pharisees looked really good, they wore robes and they obeyed the law, or not, they didn’t obey the law perfectly, nobody can, but because Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and took away our unrighteousness, and because He gave us His uprightness and His righteousness, we are accepted into God’s fold, we are sheep that have gone astray, and Jesus looks for us and finds us, and He takes us into His fold, and He gives us His robe of righteousness but we have to accept Him as our saviour, thank you so much Jesus.

So Jesus died for us because on our own we cannot be upright or righteous, but with Jesus we can, because Jesus gives us His righteousness, and then the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and makes us acceptable to God, of course we cannot be perfect, but we can overcome our temptation, the Holy Spirit helps us to overcome, and we don’t sin habitually, thank you Jesus.

So we cannot be upright, but Jesus was upright, He was God-man, He humbled Himself so much that He came down from heaven and became a human, and even though that seemed like it would be as humble as God can go, He died on a cross for no reason, He died on the cross for our sins, and He died a criminals death, the cross was so awful and gruesome that it was reserved for only the worst sinners, and Jesus didn’t even sin, He only died on the cross because of our sins, thank you so much Jesus.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins?
