Betrayed with a kiss…

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 27:6 which says, “Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.”

So when I read this verse I thought of how Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss, ”

Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man; seize him.” And he came up to Jesus at once and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him. (Mathew 26:48 & 29 ESV)

So Judas was the betrayer, and Jesus was betrayed by Him for our sake, because Judas betrayed Jesus, Jesus died on the cross, but it wasn’t only that Judas had decided to betray Jesus, it was that God decided that he would, He decided that Jesus would be betrayed for our purpose, because if Jesus hadn’t died on the cross we would be doomed, we wouldn’t have way out, but because Jesus died on the cross with our sins on Him, we can be free, we just have to accept Jesus as our saviour, thank you so much Jesus.

Also this verse says that wounds from a friend can be trusted, and Jesus is our friend, at first we were God’s enemy, but because Jesus died for us we are His friend, anyway we can trust Jesus, in fact He is the only person that is perfectly able to be trusted, because He will never stab us in the back or turn away from us, we may turn away from Him, but He never turns from us, it is amazing love that Jesus would not only die for us, but stay with us and never give up on us, thank you Jesus.

Jesus loves us, and that is why He died, He doesn’t love us (and He didn’t love us) for anything we have done, because we haven’t done¬†anything that deserves Him to die for us, we were just sinners, but because Jesus died for us, we don’t have any sin, of course we still sin, but we are able to ask for forgiveness from the person we might have sinned against and from God, thank you Jesus.

Do you trust that Jesus took away your sins?
