Cold water…

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 25:25 which says, “Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.”

So cold water to a weary person is like good news, I’ve never really been very “weary” but I have been thirsty, and to get a drink of water is very nice, and even more is good news from a distant land, and good news makes me thing of the gospel, because the gospel is the best news ever, because hearing that all of my sins have been forgiven by Jesus because He died for me is amazing, thank you so much Jesus.

Also if you’ve ever had warm water you know it doesn’t taste very good, I have and it wasn’t good, and that is like what other messages are like, they are warm water, not very good at all, at first it may seem good, warm water looks good, but it doesn’t taste good, although a bad message doesn’t benefit you at all, and the gospel does, thank you Jesus.

So good news from a distant land, well the gospel is good news, and Heaven is a distant “land”, so Jesus died for our sins on the cross, even though He was (and is) perfect, and even though we were sinful people undeserving of Christ to come and die for us, thank you Jesus, so Jesus took away our sin and dirtiness and gave us His perfection and His righteousness, and His gladness,”

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” (Heb 1:9 ESV)

So because Jesus loved righteousness with all of His heart, because He didn’t sin at all, and because He hated (and hates) wickedness, because He was never wicked or sinful, He was glad, and He gave us His gladness, and He gave us His love for righteousness and His hatred for wickedness, of course we can never be perfect, but we can overcome sin because Jesus died for us, thank you so much Jesus.

So Jesus died for our sins and gave us His gladness and His righteousness, and He took away our sins and our unrighteousness and He died on the cross, and was buried, and our sin was buried with Him, but Jesus also rose from the dead, and our sins stayed in the grave, thank you so much Jesus.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins on the cross?
