The pharisees did that…

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 24:28 which says, “Do not testify against your neighbor without cause, or use your lips to deceive.”

So this brings to mind the pharisees, because they got false witnesses to testify against Jesus, “Now the chief priests and the whole Council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.'” (Mathew 26:59-61 ESV)

So the pharisees brought false witnesses against Jesus, in Deuteronomy it says that you need to witnesses, so they just got to people to say that Jesus had said that, even though He didn’t, and the pharisees had memorized the whole Bible that they had at the time, the Old Testament, but they still got a bunch of false witnesses to come against Him, it’s just that the pharisees didn’t take the Bible to heart, they might have memorized it in their brains, it was just to look good, so why did the pharisees do this? To fulfill scripture, of course they did want to kill Jesus because, after all, He is making us look bad and things like that, so why don’t we just kill Him, but they were also fulfilling scripture,”

Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know. (Psalms 35:11 ESV)

So the false witnesses rose up against Jesus and in doing so they fulfilled scripture, and Jesus died on the cross for our sins, because they killed Him, thank you so much Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins.

So Jesus died on the cross for our sins, even though He was (and is) perfect, and we were sinful, He still died on the cross, and even though He is God, and we are just human, thank you Jesus.

Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins?
