Jesus covered all of our sins

Hi, God’s word for me today is in Proverbs 17:9 which says,” He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

So if someone covers over an offense they promoting love, first of all let’s get to the gospel, Jesus covered over all our “offenses” or sins because He loved (and loves) us, we didn’t do anything, in fact we were just sinful people who don’t deserve to be loved by Jesus, but He loved us so much, not because we did anything, that He died on the cross for our sins, even though we didn’t deserve His love, it is amazing how Jesus would die on the cross to save us from our sins, thank you so much Jesus.

Also of course if  we do cover over someones sins (or we forgive them and don’t make a big deal out of it) then we are promoting love, but if we bring it up again like “do you remember the time when you did this” or “don’t forget that time when you did that” then we will bring a close relationship apart,”

And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.

But Jesus said, “No more of this!”And he touched his ear and healed him. (Luke 22:50-51 ESV)

A few Sundays ago the pastor preached on this passage (although he was preaching on the one in John) and he said that when Jesus healed the servants ear He was not only healing it but covering over Peter wrong, because the servant could have shown the high priest that Peter cut of his ear and have him arrested but because Jesus healed it the high priest would probably say something like “which ear did he cut off, you have both of them” and so Jesus was covering Peters wrong, and He covered our wrongs at the cross, thank you Jesus.

Do believe Jesus covered over your wrongs at the cross?
