The Lord will be my rock…

Hi, Gods word for me today is in Psalms 144:1 which says,” Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

So in the first part of this verse David says that we should praise the Lord because He is our Rock, it may sound weird to you if I say that the Lord is my Rock but it shouldn’t be, because if we have a (spiritual) foundation on the Rock then we will never fail (of course we sin but that doesn’t mean that we are stuck in the dark forever)”

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” (Mathew 7:24-27 ESV)

So if we “build our house” on the Rock then in a storm we will not fall down, and Jesus is our rock, also in the second part of the verse David says that the Lord “trains his hands for war” and of course to David he actually ment war, but to us it applies because (like I said in my last two posts) sin is our enemy and so is satin, and we have to fight a battle against our sins, but with Jesus help we will win,”

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

So satan will be crushed because of Jesus, because on our own we cannot defeat our sins thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for us.

Do you trust in Jesus?
