Sin is stronger than us

Hi, Gods word for me today is in Psalms 142:6 which says, Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are to strong for me.

So before we (or at least I know I was) were in Christ this was probably our condition spiritually, we have and enemy and his name is satin, and we have a struggle and it is sin, and we can’t get rid of it on our own, whether it’s getting drunk, smoking or just lying, we all sin, and no matter how much we try, even if we join some sort of “club to help us stop sinning” then we still end up doing, we have to… or at least on our own we have to, because Jesus died for us on the cross, so that we could be accounted for as righteous, he took our sins on him, even though he was (and is) perfect, and he died for our sins on a cross, he traded our sins for his righteousness, but oh no, he died and we were in him when he died so now we are dead, but Jesus didn’t only die, he rose from the dead three days later, thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for us.

So Jesus died on a cross for us, even though he was and is perfect,

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil. (Luke 11:21-22)

So we are the strong mans (satins) goods and we are being held capture and Jesus is the strong man and he rescues us from our sins and from satin, so thank you Jesus for rescuing us from satin and from sin.

Though we still sin because of Jesus we have the power to overcome our sins, but that does not mean we don’t sin because we do, and when we do we should say that we are sorry, and we should mean it because we actually should be sorry, and we should forgive someone who sins against us and asks for forgiveness and we should mean that to, and we should forgive them even if they have done something that is terrible to us, we should still forgive them, because Jesus forgave us of all of our sins, so the least we can do is forgive something someone does against us.

Do you trust in Jesus?
