Gods wrath, on Jesus!

Hi, my promise is in Psalms 79:5 which says, How long o Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will you jealousy burn like fire?

So David is asking the Lord how long he will be angry because it seems like forever, well that’s to David but to us we don’t have to ask God how long he will be angry because he has already taken out his wrath on Jesus, instead of us, because if you think about it and you look into your past you have to admit that you have sinned and not just a little, a lot, but instead of our sinful horrible selves Jesus who is pure and righteous and clean and sinless died for us just so that we could live, now wait a minute hold the phone, why on earth would perfect Jesus die for sinful me and you?

The answer to that is in John 3:16 which says, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Now that is the gospel in a nutshell, you see the answer to our question is that he loved us so much that even though he was perfect and even though he was innocent, Jesus humbled himself and came down to earth so that he could die for us, let me repeat that, for us, it is almost impossible to believe that he would do that for us.

So Gods anger didn’t burn against us but against Jesus, don’t you just want to say “thank you so much for all you did” to Jesus, because I do.

Do you accept Jesus as your saviour and friend? Because he loves you so much.

  1. Yes, I have let Jesus into my heart, and I do want to (And I do) say thanks to Jesus, and I want to say thanks to you for posting such wonderful posts in Gods word about the gospel and Jesus.
